After years in the wilderness, copper has – quite deservedly – become hugely popular in this past couple of years, and there’s no need to limit it to your kitchen implements! A wide range of wallpapers with copper accents are available – and each of them will add warm tones to any living environment. Today, we present our five favourite currently-available geometric wallpapers with copper highlights.
Rio Geo Wallpaper in Copper – £14.99, Arthouse
Oozing modern elegance and sophistication, but definitely with a retro edge, this Rio wallpaper from Arthouse will add a bit of shine to your walls. It features a pattern made up from interlocking stars, outlined in glistening and glittery raised copper highlights. Perfect for a feature wall, yet not so in-your-face that it wouldn’t work if covering a whole room, it’s also available in a natural colour.
Colours Mosaic Copper Navy Pewter Geometric Metallic Wallpaper – £16, B&Q
The sheen in our next choice comes from both pewter and copper-coloured triangles that sit alongside navy and natural-coloured triangles to form this gorgeous mosaic wallpaper from B&Q’s Colours range. The paper utilises ‘paste-the-wall’ technology, ensuring it’s both easy to hang and remove, and it’s also available in more subdued Valiant Grey and Loki (monochrome triangles with a ‘sketched’ texture) versions.
Copper Capsule Fan Geometric Wallpaper Lead Grey – £89, Erica Wakerly
We love Erica Wakerly’s Copper Capsule wallpaper collection, from which this fabulous Fan geometric wallpaper is taken. It features an oriental-inspired pattern of ‘fans’, each of which consists of a series of lines meeting at a central point and overlapping the others. This version is rose gold against lead grey, but versions are available in everything from red on white to metallic gold on zinc grey.
Taupe & Copper Boutique Trifina Geo Wallpaper – £15.99 (was £18.19), Graham & Brown
‘Trifina’ means ‘fun’ in Greek (or ‘delicate’ or even ‘delicious’, depending on your dictionary) and Graham & Brown’s wallpaper aims to live up to that with its retro-inspired geometric design which consists of a series of diamond shapes in white and grey (with copper accents) put together to form an almost three-dimensional effect. This paper is also of the ‘paste the wall’ variety for super-quick decorating.
Pisani Wallpaper in Copper – £82, Designers’ Guild
We finish our selection with this super-classy Pisani wallpaper from Designers’ Guild, which will add brightness and style to any room. It sets an abstract trellis motif in a geometric design against a white background and will provide a fine backdrop to virtually any furniture – though versions are available in gold-on-black or silver-on-white if that’ll fit in more with your interior decor scheme.
